Board IT Director within an entrepreneurial, acquisitive group of companies.

Opportunity to support the CEO as they invest heavily in new technology.

Client Details

The company is a group which has grown rapidly over the past 10 years, being highly acquisitive as well as achieving a market leading status in their offering. The group operates across both the consumer and business to business space, and has an excellent reputation in its field.

Over recent months, there has been a large investment in technology, as the company has implemented SAP, and has centralised all the businesses in a new structure. New systems have been introduced to manage distribution, warehouse management and administration. There remains a lot of potential, in particular around automation and integration.

The company is entrepreneurial and fast paced. It would suit a strategic board level IT Director who is also happy to take an operational approach.

Description

Leading a broad team to include infrastructure and architects, the IT Director will sit as part of the board reporting to the CEO.

He/she will develop and lead the ERP transformation (SAPbyDesign) programme to make sure that it meets the companies objectives, as well as leading the company's cloud transformation plan to make sure that the right technology choices are made and executed well.

The IT Director will maintain a healthy and secure infrastructure environment , and will also manage the company's cyber security.

It is expected that the IT Director innovate, and look for new ways of supporting the business. Further automation is expected, and the CEO would like to hire a proactive individual who can bring new ways of working to the group.

Profile

We are looking to attract an experienced IT Director, who has recent experience of working for the manufacturing or FMCG sector. Experience of having automated processes should be evident on your CV, as well as a track record of ERP process delivery, ideally SAP. Infrastructure and operations management experience would be required, as would a passion for balancing strategic thinking with hands on delivery.

Job Offer

A six figure base salary, with senior leadership level benefits package.

This role will be based north of the Midlands, and although there will be an element of flexible working, we are looking for a candidate who can be based in the Midlands/North West.
