A University based in London are currently recruiting an interim IT Project Manager to play a key role in the delivery of an organisation-wide project to transform ways of working and to implement an agile working environment.

Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure the role will have responsibility for the project management and coordination of project set pieces' as described by the Head of Infrastructure to ensure that a high quality physical and technical infrastructure is provided, so that the project can be implemented successfully.

Key responsibilities of this job include:

  • Project managing the implementation of a print solution
  • Project managing the roll-out of laptops for all staff who require them, managing hotdesking and occupancy monitoring,
  • Appropriately kitting out meeting rooms and spaces to encourage and complement hybrid meetings with persons in physical or remote attendance
  • Working with colleagues in IT Services, Estates and across the College to ensure a fully collaborative approach is taken to the successful and timely delivery of the project
  • Involvement in major systems procurement, evaluation and purchasing decisions that have long term impact on the successful working of the College.
  • Proactively manage scope changes, identifying requirements, assessing impact and challenging decisions where necessary.

Successful candidates have:

  • Sound knowledge of the stages in the project management of technical developments, including system test methodology, requirements gathering and design specification.
  • Proven track record in successful IT systems implementation
  • A proven track-record of undertaking business process reviews, change management, and project management for large, complex and diverse organisations.
  • Experience of requirements gathering and interpretation including the ability to identify waste in business processes and to make appropriate suggestions for improvement.
  • Advanced user of M365 apps and services including MS Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive.
