Wexford County Council is the local government authority for County Wexford. Wexford County Council has its administrative headquarters in Wexford Town. The Council has responsibility for delivery of a wide range of services in the local area with a focus on making the county, our towns and countryside attractive places to live, work and invest. Wexford County Council provides the full range of services including housing; planning; roads; environmental protection; the provision of recreation and amenities and community infrastructure and also plays a key role in supporting economic development and enterprise at a local level.

A vacancy now exists in Wexford County Council for an experienced Senior Manager to play a leadership role as a Director of Service. Reporting to the Chief Executive, s/he will be responsible for policy implementation, service delivery and change management.

The successful candidate will have:

• A career record that demonstrates the necessary senior level leadership and management skills to manage, develop and motivate a large multidisciplinary team;

• Experience of managing change in a complex and dynamic environment;

• A significant record of achievement of results;

• Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
