Head of Finance – Property and Infrastructure

A new opportunity to join a large Local Government organisation on an interim basis to lead the finance function for Development, Property and Infrastructure. Working in an Authority with huge and complex investment plans as well as a significant metropolitan infrastructure, your financial stewardship and management experience will come to the fore in a challenging but exciting environment.

The department in question is responsible for all aspects of property, planning, transport and infrastructure as well as major developments and the projects within. As well as public funds there will be aspects of PFI work, contracts performance management and a host of mandatory functions which need robust financial controls and decisive, thoughtful planning.

The right candidate will have experience in most aspects of these services and will have led skilled finance teams within Local Government before. Metropolitan experience would be helpful but anyone who has led teams within a County or Unitary could easily be right. Our client is looking for positive committed individuals who thrive on challenge and providing positive solutions to the challenges which now come with delivering a modern finance service in today’s testing economic conditions.
