My client are a leading third party logistics provider operating 20+ locations across the country.

They are looking for an Account Manager to help improve customer service, develop existing business and drive growth across all areas.

My client are a leading third party logistics provider operating 20+ locations across the country.

The business have experienced significant growth particularly within their e-commerce, FMCG and Food divisions.

They are now looking for an Account Manager to focus on service, delivery and customer experience.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Create, review and own the Key Account strategy
  • To achieve all agreed annual revenue, organic sales and profit targets.
  • Organise and lead appropriate business cadence to include regular, formal reviews and reports.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, client stakeholders and executive sponsors.
  • Develop and execute Customer satisfaction improvement plans
  • Develop internal network across divisions and central functions, to leverage multifaceted solutions.
  • Key collaboration with Business Development teams - supporting new business sales activity.
  • Develop and apply critical market and industry knowledge to improve customer relationship and exploit growth opportunities
  • Remain at the forefront of evolving market and industry dynamics
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of compelling value propositions and solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Negotiate contract terms through to final sign off
  • Monitor all up and coming contract renewals, preparing for continuation and/or expansion of offering
  • Responsible for all customer rate quotes and reviews. Ensuring all supplementary costs are captured and recharged in a timely manner
  • Maximisation of revenue, targeting sales in line with operational resource


Key Skills:

  • Good commercial awareness and a commitment to providing customers with the highest standards of service
  • Ideally have a background in logistics and operations and experience of contract logistics would be ideal
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the client's organisation including executives and c-level
  • Innovative views and exposure to operational processes and continuous improvement methodologies


  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager or relevant role within Logistics, Operations or Manufacturing
  • Experience delivering client focused solutions to customer needs
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at all times whilst maintaining sharp attention to detail

Job Offer

£65,000 + car, bonus, pension & holidays.
