The Role

Business Analyst to support the Data Centre move from near shore, back to the UK. This will be a pivotal role to contribute in the definition of the application migration plan, working in direct contact with the business users and customers to define the detailed landscape of applications. The role will require you to work closely with the Italian team and therefore this person must be able to speak Italian fluently.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for identifying and documenting the business owners, users and stakeholders, both internal and external, for each application affected by the migration project
• Identifies dependencies, both functional and infrastructure related, in the application portfolio that could affect the migration
• Working with the IT functions to define the most suitable and effective application migration approach
• Supports the Project Manager in the definition of the migration plan
• Analyse the existing processes and functions to identify risks and constraints that could affect the migration, and define mitigating actions
• The role will communicate with vendors, application owners and supporting functions to identify and implement the actions required to prepare, support and implement the migration of applications
• Single point of contact for the business users for all the aspects related to the migration activities, from the initial stages to the successful conclusion of the migration
• Actively involved in the post go-live support by coordinating resources to address the resolution of any issues that could arise during and after the migration
• Work in collaboration with the IT functions to find the most appropriate solution to meet the set deadlines
• Production of functional specifications and documentation
• Support the identification of the application system architecture
• Definition of the application migration activities
• Acts as the IT focal point for all aspects related to the migration activities
• Communicate with the business functions
• Planning and management of meetings with the user
• Monitoring of business processes with identification and implementation of improvement actions
