Are you an experienced Finance Director looking to make an impact in a company focused on sustainable growth? Do you have experience of working as part of an established Executive Management team setting the strategic direction of the business?

About the role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director with a reporting line to the Cohort Group FD, you will be responsible for the overall financial reporting, integrity and processes of the business and leading the financial and related functions strategically and operationally, which includes:
  • Finance and management accounting
  • Business improvement
  • Commercial

We're looking for a people-focused person who is keen to develop financial and commercial awareness within the rest of the business, particularly among our technical employees. You should proactively participate in reviews and ensure that the financial and related functions of the business remain on course. This will include experience of reviewing reports, analysis of projections and the ability to suggest improvements to the planning process. The role will require a person who is used to reporting to a parent company (preferably a plc) and is aware of the governance and timeline requirements of such reporting.

About you

You should have experience as a Finance Director in a similar size or growing company, contributing to the achievement of Company objectives by providing advice and guidance on financial strategy. The ability to work with the Board of Directors to assess the long-term financial trends to support the future growth of the business is essential for this role. You should possess the relevant financial qualifications, such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
