City & Guilds Group
Trustees (x2)

The City and Guilds of London Institute was founded in 1878, by the Corporation of the City of London and 16 livery companies (the Guilds) to protect and promote the standard of technical education.

The Institute was the founding organisation for the City & Guilds Group – a registered charity and Royal Chartered organisation.  Our fundamental purpose is to help people, organisations and economies develop their skills for growth.

We work closely with organisations to help them anticipate technical, social, and economic trends and we respond to Government policy. We help people achieve their potential through work-based learning and provide internationally recognised qualifications, awards, assessments, and support across a wide range of occupations across industry, commerce, the public sector and elsewhere.

The City & Guilds Group continually evolves in response to business and economic needs to overcome current skills challenges in the global jobs market. We do this by working with employers, governments, training providers and other industry representatives in over 100 countries.

Our values, Imagination, Integrity and Leadership, are core to everything we do, and makes us who we are. They underpin the way we work, from how we treat our people right through to how we design our products.

We are looking for two Trustees to join the Board, one of whom we would seek to appoint as Treasurer.  This individual should bring a breadth of financial experience, will have experience of being a CFO or Finance Director level or equivalent, ideally as a qualified accountant.  The other Trustee we ideally would like to have experience in technological and digital transformation and delivery in fast-changing, agile and innovative commercial environments.

We want to continue to increase the diversity of our leadership and particularly welcome applications from women, disabled and Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic people, as they are currently under-represented on the Board.

We are looking for value-driven leaders, with a strong interest in supporting us to shape the future of work and learning. If you share our commercial focus and passion for helping people to realise their potential, we would like to hear from you.
