National Express plc is seeking to appoint a high calibre Sales & Business Development Director to drive growth across the National Express Transport Solutions (NETS) division.
NETS was established in July 2020, bringing together two leading UK coach hire businesses - Lucketts Travel Group and The Kings Ferry Group.
NETS offers non-scheduled coach operations across a comprehensive range of transport solutions for all types of requirements, from the private hire for leisure and events, through to corporate travel solutions, commuter services, employee shuttles, coach holidays and day trips.
The Role
Reporting to the NETS MD, this is a new high-profile role, critical to the success of the business and will be responsible for:
- Reviewing, reshaping and transforming sales and business development teams to enhance performance.
- Developing a proactive and integrated approach to meet the ambitious growth targets of the business.
- Marketing, from product development to lead generation, sales, customer support and contract management.
- Using market sales information and data to favourably reposition the business to anticipate customer needs
Professional Profile
As Sales & Business Development Director you will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience with both business development and sales from a B2B marketplace perspective, some B2C experience would be useful.
- A track record of developing teams to outperform targets.
- Leadership of multi-site teams to deliver against a growth agenda
- Proven background in a B2B and contract driven sector, where focus is on developing deep relationships and working in partnership with clients.
