A global manufacturer of technologically advanced products for surgical procedures, such as sutures, haemostats and tissue adhesives. Products are sold direct to market, or via B2B Private Label, Branded and Co label partnerships in key territories.

Job Description

The Strategic International Business Development Director is a sole contributor role, with the task of growing sales through Branded, B2B, Private Label, Licensing and Co Development channels with medical device manufacturers.

  • Review all key geographies sales progress and market share penetration
  • Identify and align to strategic product opportunity via increased routes to market on regional and global basis
  • Identify and develop US market access business cases and forward partner identification and commitments
  • Pursue all levels of Business Development including but not restricted to Branded, Private Label, Licensing, Co Development within surgical device manufacturers.
  • Work in partnership with Sales Directors where the company has a direct market investment, supplementing that go to market strategy with creative additional revenue streams into these markets that increase sales revenue.

The Successful Applicant

For the Strategic International Business Development Director - Surgical Devices we are seeking a senior sales specialist with expertise in Operating Room clinical technical devices across multiple regions.

  • Experience in OR speciality sales, with demonstrable experience in B2B Private Label, Branded and Co label go to market strategy and execution.
  • Strong negotiation skills, and a track record of managing milestone based fee payment deal structures will be preferred.
  • Science or Business degree at MSC or MBA level
  • English language skills are essential. Other European languages preferred (German)
  • Ability to travel 50% to 75% of time
