High growth Fintech Scaleup and one of Europe's real success stories over the last 5 years, are looking for a Head of Group Finance. Reporting to the CFO, the position will be responsible for leading all Group Finance and Reporting activities with an international remit. It will play a pivotal role in ensuring the finance organisation keeps pace with the huge growth of the business, and make certain the relevant controls and compliance frameworks are in place a time where the complexity of the business is ever increasing.
Circa £110,000 - £140,000 salary + bonus and benefits
The role
• Responsible for leading and managing the financial control operation, which constitutes of 5 international and regional teams
• Sign off and ownership of group consolidated statutory and management accounts
• Ensure all reporting is compliant with the latest IFRS regulations
• Continuous review and improvement of financial controls structures across the entire group
• Optimise ERP solution to ensure all processes are efficient and accurate
• Monitor and manage cadence of reporting timelines across international teams
• Oversee revenue accounting operations
• Manage a large team - direct and indirect
• Manage relationship with external auditors
• Advise and resolve any technical accounting treatment queries
• Regulatory reporting
Skills and Experience
• Qualified experience with significant post qualified experience in controllership position
• Fintech experience strongly preferred (payments particularly of interest)
• Experience leading teams ideally both local and international
• Experience in a high growth scale up business
• Strong technical accounting skills - IFRS and GAAP
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a high growth environment
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Demonstrable track record of balancing day to day responsibilities alongside more strategic, project led initiatives
• Fantastic communicator with ability to build relationships at all levels, and across markets
