We are seeking an Interim Chief Procurement Officer for a period of 6 to 9 months, to support our client across the Marine, Land, Aviation and Nuclear sectors. This position requires a seasoned Interim Chief Procurement Officer, who will ideally hold current and valid SC clearance or above. Other critical experience would include a working knowledge of the Defence sector, as well as any other experience in manufacturing, engineering and/or utilities. You will be very commercial and have good experience of change management, procurement & supply chain, cultural change and organisational structuring.

Reporting to the group CFO, role will be managing a large spend of circa £2bn, as well as overseeing circa 1,000 people across multiple international business units. the successful applicant will be responsible for steering the overall procurement function, developing strategies and driving the organisation towards procurement excellence, thus enabling the execution of the ambitious growth and development plans of the organisation.

Ahead of hiring a permanent person in this position, the organisation is looking to immediately commence work with an Interim to maximise procurement value contribution and build a best-in-class, procurement organisation delivering value in multiple dimensions.

This role will be operating inside IR35 and will require a minimum of SC clearance.
