Our client is a London based, rapidly growing AIM-listed investment company providing bespoke private capital solutions supporting the UK lower middle market. It uses it's evergreen capital to finance MBO’s, Buy & Builds, and other transformative deals for businesses with up to £50m Enterprise Value.
The core product offering is a hybrid of secured term loan and private equity that they call a corporate royalty. They seek equity-like returns for risk incurred by focusing on deals that traditional forms of capital do not adequately address. They also occasionally take minority equity stakes in their royalty partners with board seats. They currently manage approximately £175m in assets, including dry powder available for further deployments.

Due to continuing growth opportunities, we are seeking a highly motivated individual, who can manage a private capital deal from origination through to deal close and monitoring, alongside the CIO. Responsibilities will include (among other things), building financial models, conducting industry research, negotiating term sheets, writing due diligence questionnaires, scoping formal due diligence, managing advisors, reviewing credit agreements and legal documents, as well as monitoring investments after deal close.

Candidates are likely to have 3-5 years of experience in transaction services, corporate finance, M&A advisory, leveraged finance, or private equity. They need a self-starter, who’s ready to manage a transaction, but are also focused on recruiting an individual who is open-minded and coachable on best practices in deal execution and their investment philosophy.
