PE backed Professional Services

The last 12 months have been challenging for some businesses but have also allowed others to vastly accelerate their growth trajectory. In conjunction, the PE buyout market is poised to be the strongest in history with record levels of undeployed capital. Naturally then, there are going to be some excellent assets primed to take advantage of the market.

I’m working with a business that has surged past target growth numbers YoY since being bought out 3 years ago. They have expanded internationally via several strategic acquisitions and they have massively disrupted their industry to the extent that massive, house-hold name firms are signing up for high-value long term contracts.

They are targeting an exit within 12 months and the PE firm has engaged us to bolster the current team in preparation for the sale.

The Role:

You will work very closely with the Private Equity house, CFO and MDs, owning the commercial finance function for the business. You will be a key player in both an upcoming acquisition and the eventual sale process.

Some things you might expect:

Improve and drive FP&A workstreams across the group – reporting, board packs, planning etc
Support CFO and MD across various strategic initiatives.
Key PoC for updates to the PE owners on sales performance/pipeline revenue.
Help to run a bulletproof DD process.

Requirements:

  • Qualified – ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
  • Experience in Private Equity backed businesses – absolute must have. I cannot consider candidates that do not have experience in direct PE ownership environments. On this point, candidates at this level must have demonstrable experience working closely with PE investors.
  • US experience – those with experience with US exits, US acquisitions, US PE ownership etc will be at an advantage.
  • Experience in businesses sub £100m t/o – this really needs someone who has already got a successful background in a smaller high growth business.
