Finance Transformation Project Manager

As part of a wider rationalisation of processes and systems across the finance function, the business requires a project manager with specific experience of Asset Management Reporting to lead a project that will enhance their current asset accounting capabilities. With the hope of making better use of automation and systems, culminating in less reliance on manual data-entry and updating, we are looking to move from what is presently the primitive updating an asset register to something much more sophisticated and self-managing that will deliver automated progress updates of capital projects and greater visibility of assets and capital investment programmes for accounting purposes. This will require an overhaul of asset reporting processes and all control-frameworks to deliver a more technologically advanced management tool. Once this phase is complete, you will support the businesses with the review of suitable asset-management software applications available on the market, lead a supplier-tendering process and ultimately be part of the selection committee for new asset management software tool. Finally, you will support the migration of the newly designed asset management reporting framework into this new management tool.

To be considered for this position you will be a fully qualified accountant with extensive transformation experience within large multi-site retail (or other consumer) businesses with large property estates and high volumes of varied assets. You will have deep project management experience, be fluent in re-engineering complex financial and operational processes and be comfortable getting into the detail of very varied assets-reviews, processes and investment-appraisals in order to build the necessary controls that will deliver excellence in asset management and reporting going forward.
