THE COMPANY

Our client is one of the leading garden designing, landscaping and maintenance providers in London and the Home Counties.

The Company has an excellent reputation with B2B and B2C customers built through the ability to deliver and maintain high quality gardens.

Focusing on high-end project designs its clients include both B2B, customers, such as independent garden designers/landscape architects, property developers, schools and B2C end-user clients.

Projects are delivered to exacting standards, managed by the Company with the use of both in-house project teams, as well as sub-contractors. They have several construction teams building and maintaining gardens and outside spaces for residential and commercial clients all over London and the Home Counties.

As the business continues to grow and develop, they have identified a need for a senior-operations professional to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the whole business. This appointment would bring strong operational, organisational experience and structure to the company to facilitate growth that then becomes sustainable and long term.

This person will join the Senior Management Team and will be responsible for ensuring that all operational aspects of the company are run profitably, effectively and efficiently. The role has direct responsibility for delivering profitable revenue from projects.

The Operations Director will also play an important strategic role in growing the business as well as contribute to developing successful relationships with customers and clients.

The role will have focus on delivery of profitable revenue, operational improvement, change and excellence in a fast-growing environment.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidates will have a demonstrable track record of success in Senior Operational Management in the provision of services in the B2B and consumer environments. Candidates will be able to transfer skills from other sectors. They will have a hands-on approach, be agile and be prepared to ‘roll their sleeves up’ when necessary.

Experience will have been gained in the successful management of high-quality teams ideally in a high-growth business. 

Candidates will have had a demonstrable track record of success in planning, managing and completing operational change and improvement.

 

 

Candidates will possess a successful track record of achievement in a multi-delivery site, operationally diverse and commercially focused environment.  Financially astute, strategically proficient and commercially assertive, the successful candidate will play an integral role in the profitable development of this business.
