My FMCG client are recruiting a Demand & Production Planning Manager to create long-term production plans (c.6-24m) which consider operational capacity and deliver to meet global sales forecast.

My FMCG manufacturing client are a true market-leader, both within the UK and globally... My client are a multi-site organisation, however this role will predominantly be based at their site in the Cambridgeshire area.

Their appetite for growth is incredible and as a result, they are truly investing in their Supply Chain infrastructure. The Demand & Production Planning Manager role is BRAND NEW and required solely due to such ambitious and global growth plans.

Description

Key responsibilities for the Demand & Production Planning Manager;

    You will be responsible for translating commercial forecasts into production plans that ensure they deliver stock on time and in full - * OTIF *You will create and make visible long-term production forecasts, to create an aligned operational plan to deliver the expected demandYou will work in partnership with the Scheduling Manager and Site Manufacturing Managers to drive plan attainment ensuring they consistently deliver the planned outputYou will act as the link between the Commercial and Operational sides of the business, reporting to the commercial teams on the success of the operation in delivering the planned output whilst challenging sales forecast accuracy to maintain operational plan stabilityThrough analytics and visual representation, you will highlight potential risks in the operational capacity to deliver the projected business growth. You will present opportunities to improve throughput and influence future investmentsYou will lead systematic transformation projects moving from excel based planning to MRPAs the demand management lead you will drive continuous improvement through proactive involvement, strong communication and efficient delivery in cross functional projectsYou will lead the Demand Planning team, creating a future fit structure, colleague development, engagement, and training plansYou will actively engage with Category Management & Merchandising on managing new products, and product changes, considering strategic and wider business planning and mitigation of obsolescence

Profile

The successful candidate for the Demand & Production Planning Manager will have considerable experience of production planning, ideally in a fast-moving, FMCG, manufacturing environment. You will also have demonstrable experience in using analytics to influence capital investments.

You will have an appetite to work in a dynamic, forward-thinking and autonomous environment!

You will have excellent leadership and coaching skills, alongside excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills. with a high level of maths/numeracy skills.

Desirable - lean Six Sigma or Kaizen project experience - experience of implementation/transforming systems - experience of commercial sales forecasting
