Finance Director, Nottingham c£80,000 ,car, bonus, benefits

Our client has a global portfolio of businesses across many sectors with its core actives ( turnover c£250 million ) comprising subsidiaries in Germany, the USA and Mexico. The core division manufactures products to a number of prestigious names in its sector. Internal reorganisation creates the need to appoint a Finance Director to be based in the Head Office in  Nottingham to report to the Chairman.

The successful candidate will work closely with the senior management team and the Chairman together with subsidiary management and provide timely information in the reporting of group performance and results . Working closely with the operating subsidiaries the individual to be appointed will be keen to understand the manufacturing processes , operational procedures , finance and banking arrangements and changes in the subsidiary companies as they occur in order to collate and provide accurate group financial information .

The Finance Director to be appointed will have a strong financial background and will have worked within a manufacturing company and be able to demonstrate an in depth knowledge of added value production and profit generation within a manufacturing operation . With previous experience at group or in the auditing thereof to understand group accounts and statutory accounts would be helpful together with strong interpersonal skills to develop quality working relationships with the operational management and support the Chairman and shareholders . Experience of working with SAP would be helpful as would in an ideal worth fluency in German . This is a broad role combining technical qualities to liaise with auditors and advisors and commercial and operational qualities to support and challenge the operational management.
