Our client is a globally distinguished multi-national manufacturing business in the Midlands area, who are currently seeking to appoint a Director of Supply Chain to join their Supply Chain, Procurement and Purchasing function, reporting into the Senior Vice President of Supply Chain.
This is a permanent opportunity, with the client seeking to create a 5 to 10-year plan by focussing on end to end supply chain and procurement processes as a route to cost savings and top line growth. The basic salary on offer is £150,000 with a 25% bonus scheme depending on company and personal performance.
Our client has provided reassurance in relation to confirmed flexible working (up to 3 days working-from-home) per week – in the hope that their candidate pool can expand across the majority of the UK. They possess a 5-star WFH operation which has allowed the whole business to operate smoothly throughout the pandemic.
Some of the initial tasks and responsibilities as Director of Supply Chain will include:
- Provide tactical and operational leadership through extensive prior senior-level Supply Chain experience.
- Experience of implementing global supply chain strategies to deliver improvements to service, process, quality, system and people performance.
- Evaluated International supply chain and regulatory impacts and recommended course of action for multiple international outsourcing projects
- Monitoring key metrics relating to forecast, production and order performance whilst assessing the impact of these metrics on the business.
- Expertise in carrying-out complex transactions including acquisition integration, divestures and restructuring programs.
- P&L accountability + potential headcount reduction of up to 15% within the Supply Chain set-up.
It is important to note that any potential candidates must have had prior experience within senior leadership positions across sizeable businesses (blue-chip preferably).
