Job Details

Roman Catholic Diocese of Westminster
Director of Education Services

The Diocese of Westminster is one of the leading Catholic Diocese in the country. It has three main pillars which are intertwined in its network, with 208 schools, 212 parishes and several hundred social justice initiatives. There are over 90,000 pupils attending our schools every day through Greater London and Hertfordshire. Education provided to these pupils attends to the formation of the whole person in their intellectual, moral, physical, spiritual and aesthetic dimensions, and at the same time promotes the common good of society.

This is crucial role at a crucial time for Catholic Education in the Diocese of Westminster. We are proud that 95% of all schools in the diocese were judged as Good or Outstanding by Ofsted criteria. Our schools are led by our incredibly dedicated head teachers, teachers, support staff and governors who put the child at the centre of their mission.

But we are realistic about the challenges, and this is a demanding role. We are looking for a talented individual who has the courage to ensure the vibrant resilience of our schools in decades to come while supporting our schools in the challenges they face today. The individual must understand how the Catholic education system thrives and how to influence the great potential in local school leadership, ethos, funding streams, opportunities in capital improvements, religious education and local community support.

It is also a life fulfilling role. Every day will be different with its own challenges. You will be surrounded by team members, colleagues, managers and clergy that want to achieve the same mission as you do.

Are you up to the challenge?
