“Believe in people”. This is the unifying belief of Change grow live. We are a social care and health service delivery charity that works with individuals whose lives have been held back by a range of social issues and concerns, including substance misuse and other forms of addiction, homelessness, poverty, unemployment, domestic abuse, mental health issues and offending. They want to change their lives for the better and achieve positive, sustainable, life-affirming goals and all our services are designed to encourage and support them to achieve that. We are now looking for a new Chair and trustees to continue the organisation’s important work. 

You join us at an exciting time. We are evolving our approach. Already a highly successful delivery partner to government, local authorities and the NHS, we are looking to use our expertise and front-line insight to influence system-change. We want to use our abilities and resources to shape policy and public discourse. We want to convene and collaborate with other organisations to ensure as many people as possible are better supported to find the strength and resources within themselves to bring about the life and behavioural changes they wish to achieve.

As our Chair, you will lead and inspire a high performing Board, role modelling our values and demanding the best performance from the leadership of the organisation. Already able to demonstrate a track record of ambition and wisdom, you will bring poise, empathy, and – amidst the seriousness of our work – a keen sense of fun. Some Chair experience is desirable, as is experience in a clinical setting.

We are particularly keen to hear from individuals from communities not currently represented on our Board, especially those from the following fields: clinical governance, strategy and health delivery; audit and finance; brand and stakeholder engagement; and policy/government.
