Family Office Board Director: Central London

This board appointment is for a small entrepreneurial central London based single family office, to work closely with the family and management team.  The central role is to head up the selection and management of a portfolio of unquoted investments in fast growing companies.  The portfolio currently consists of private UK businesses in a variety of sectors including technology, support services, property, IT and healthcare.  This is a newly created role recognising SMEs as a major and increasing asset class for the family office.  

The role is primarily concerned with creating and sustaining the conditions for high performance management in the invested businesses and offers the opportunity to define future investment policy and risk criteria.  

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a similar management or professional investment capacity, possibly in growth capital or private equity, as well as relevant professional qualifications.   They will have demonstrated success in assessing opportunities and risk for a medium to long term investment horizon.  An important feature is a strong record of achievement in working closely with management in creating and successfully implementing growth plans and realising value.
