This post will provide scientific support in infectious disease modelling/Data Science to the epidemiological investigation, supporting local response in collaboration across the JBC and with other partners.

Description

● This will include leading and managing the technical and analytical aspects of epidemiological outbreak investigations .
● To provide data science support to the Epidemiological investigative work of the JBC, supporting technical analysis and aspects, from a data science perspective assisting the epidemiological outbreak investigation.
● The post holder will also take a lead role in infectious disease modelling, public health scientific analyses and writing reports on specific projects, regular and ad hoc commissions and publication's

Profile

To be successful you will have the following, these are very important points, please be willing to run through them during a phone call.

● Educated to PhD degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
● Some Post doctorate level or similar experience is desirable.
● Completion of the Field Epidemiology Training Programme or equivalent training and experience in infectious disease epidemiology desirable
● Principles of modelling and knowledge of infectious diseases
● Experience of interpreting and evaluating epidemiological data, sensitive health data analyses and performing analytical epidemiology in outbreak situations.
● Demonstrable experience of public health, health protection or epidemiology including epidemiology for outbreak investigations
