Assistant Director of Digital Technology required to work for a leading Housing Association based in London. The salary is GBP60,000 - GBP70,000 Dependent on experience.

You will embark upon an ambitious global 3-year strategy and in order to achieve a challenging target with digital, it is critical that our digital services and our underpinning business and service technology are operating efficiently, securely and effectively at scale.

We are looking to recruit an individual to lead our expanded technology team to develop and deliver our strategic technology roadmap. We are looking for someone with significant experience of motivating, managing and developing technology teams, including remotely, together with an excellent understanding of innovative technology solutions. You must have a successful track record of developing and implementing IT systems and infrastructure and of operating and supporting secure digital services at scale, which meet user needs.

Critically you will have strong influencing and negotiation skills and offer the personal credibility to engage with a wide spectrum of stakeholders around technology, digital and data services.
You will need to work collaboratively with senior managers across the organisation and with our partners to lead the planning and redevelopment of our front-facing digital services and manage the transition from our bespoke inhouse CRM to a new platform (TBC). You will lead cyber security in the organisation and will ensure the operational security of our applications, platforms and services in line with the requirements of ISO 2700

You will shape and drive our organisation's digital future by drawing from expertise across commercial and not-for-profit sectors, working collaboratively with colleagues, suppliers and partners, always ensuring that the team have the requisite skills and capabilities for the future to deliver our technology strategy and to support our changed infrastructure.

You will have proven skills and experience in leading in-house technology teams and of leading people through technology-enabled change, ideally in medium and/or growing organisations. You will be expected to report to the Senior Management Team and the Executive Board;
*Accountable for the overarching digital and technology strategy and roadmap
*Accountable for ensuring the design, development and delivery of digital products and services support the company strategy and meet user needs
*Accountable for the operational delivery, security and continuous improvement of all hardware, software and infrastructure services to internal and external users
*Accountable for spend on IT services and products
*Responsible as part of the senior leadership team for role-modelling our behaviours to all staff and developing those behaviours in others

Essential Experience
*Passion for and experience of successfully building, managing and motivating multidisciplinary digital teams with proven experience of managing in-house development, testing and support teams
*Senior management experience of leading a growing technology and/or digital services delivery team, ideally in a not-for-profit and/or medium sized business
*Experience of planning and delivering products and services using agile development techniques to meet customer expectations and deliver cost effective robust solutions Experience of IT operations management and the use of new technologies to improve cost effectiveness and performance of IT systems
*Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills with proven experience of getting buy-in from stakeholders in technology-led change programmes
*Able to manage multiple priorities and deal with ambiguity, while constantly looking for opportunities to innovate and streamline
*Experience of managing technology-enabled change projects, including CRM implementations and ideally Salesforce, to improve business operations
*Understanding and experience of a range of agile delivery methods with proven ability to adapt business needs in IT terms and vice versa
*Knowledge and understanding of the digital and data landscape as well as key and up and coming technologies Understanding and experience of network infrastructure, design and architecture, including hosted applications with AWS
*Knowledge of the Data Protection Act and GDPR in relation to IT systems and security Desirable

Desirable Experience
*Experience and knowledge of online learning environments and technologies for learning
*Experience of working in an ISO27001 (or similar) environment
*ITIL delivery experience or certification
*Experience of working in the not-for-profit/education/community and/or voluntary sector
