Our client is looking to hire a Head of Data Engineering. The are looking at Data Engineers with a Python Background and ideally with a Senior background.

Key Responsibilities

• Alignment of priorities with business strategy, and liaising with other business components, within the data team and outside of it.
• Project management: Define scope of main projects, estimation of effort and delivery times, allocation of resources and communicating progress updates. Contribute to the sport by sport R&D roadmap.
• People management: continuous feedback to and from developers, reviewing team performance, receiving and processing feedback from all stakeholders

Requirements

• 5+ years experience as a Python software engineer/developer working on Back End data solutions
• Experience of management of data/software engineers team
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for all levels of an organisation
• Strong understanding of data solution architectures providing Real Time and batch data processing
• Experience in managing projects from inception to delivery
• Knowledge of a number of different project management and delivery methodologies and an understanding of when to apply them
