Fantastic Logistics position based in the North West, working for an Organisation who continue to deliver YOY growth.

The role will lead full transformation within the Logistics function.

Client Details

My Client are a marketing leading brand within their sector, unrivalled by any competitor in the UK.

Specialsing in fast moving consumer products through both D2C and B2C channels they continue to dominate the sector.

Description

  • Accountable for delivering outstanding customer service our customers via all elements of the Supply Chain - from the procurement, movement, storage and supply of product & materials.
  • Establish a best in class DC operation with a key focus on Direct to Customer delivery
  • Develop & encourage a continuous improvement culture via Lean Methodologies (5S, 7 Wastes, Comm Cells, Problem solving) aimed at reducing costs while maximising efficiencies and profitability across the DC
  • Ensuring a robust and effective S&OP process is enhanced to support inventory stock turns and cash flow targets which supports the leveraging of the facility to maximise it's ROI
  • Develop and Initiate plans which will deal with volume peaks and growth to enable a more flexible working pattern for the operation
  • Establish key strategic supplier partnerships to continue our development and negotiate cost effective pricing and terms
  • Creation of Strategic KPI's for the DC which support all areas of the operation
  • Development of an Overall DC and Supply Chain Strategy which encompasses all of the above points
  • Development of the Operations Team Culture which supports the site's Key Objectives

Profile

  • An experienced operational professional with a proven track record of success, preferable from the logistics environment.
  • The ability to instil confidence and can build rapport at all levels of the business
  • Confidently deal with a multitude of projects and changing priorities
  • An in-depth working knowledge of Lean methodologies
  • Knowledge of D2C working environment
  • A thinker who can define the strategy for the site but will also go hands on when required
  • High performing Individual who can think outside the box to develop solutions to minimise any customer disruption
  • Experience within UK consumer goods with some knowledge of European logistics
