Our retained client - headquartered in London - is a leading global technology company, specialising in the acquisition, distribution and commercialisation of data and digital content.
An opportunity exists as Director of Operations, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.
Role Overview:
- The Director of Operations is a new role at the heart of the Operations function.
- Reporting to the COO, you will effectively operate as the COO’s right hand - running, reviewing and reshaping Operations including the Content, Support Services, and Service Centre divisions to ensure top performance in these critical areas of the business.
- You will support the COO by taking on management responsibility for the heads of these divisions, which account for ~800 staff plus a global network of ~1,700 partners.
- By challenging and developing the management team, driving continuous improvement, and focusing on smart ways to streamline processes, you’ll ensure that the business is agile, innovative and several steps ahead of the competition.
Key requirements:
- A driven, pragmatic operations executive with global, multi-office operations and business transformation experience in a relevant environment.
- Familiarity with data/technology is helpful, but not essential.
- Smart, financially adept and tech-savvy, able to swiftly master the current Operations set-up and processes and spot opportunities to improve and align them.
- A supremely efficient manager of change, you’ll be able to effectively streamline the Operations organisation with an eye to maximizing quality, scaleability and agility as the business continues its rapid growth.
- You’ll be able to work effectively and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation.
- You will motivate and stretch the Operations management team with your fresh perspective, challenging them to develop and ensuring that they deliver top individual and collective performance.
- Your communication skills will be first-class, and adaptable to a range of audiences and levels.
