Description

The client is looking for a Firmware Engineer to work with their expert Instrument team of 4 employees in Cambridge, UK.

What you'll do

Bring together development kits and peripherals to develop prototype products

Help design and implement new features and products, working with our electronics engineers to create final designs

Aid discussions with product managers to fully understand and specify different product requirements

Aid in the maintenance and improvement of existing products

Profile

The ideal candidate will have a degree (or equivalent) in software, electronics or similar numerate degree

C or C++, ideally for resource-constrained embedded devices

Proven problem-solving ability

Experience writing software for embedded systems

Some experience of bringing up new hardware

Ideally, knowledge of Unix-based operating systems and the GCC toolchain
