Generation is a global non-profit organization that launched operations in 2015. We offer programs across 28 professions in four sectors – healthcare, technology, customer service, and skilled trades – that are run in 100+ cities across fourteen countries (US, Spain, India, Kenya, Mexico, Brazil, Hong Kong, Singapore, France, Italy, UK, Australia, Pakistan, and Ireland). Generation is now the largest global ‘train and place’ employment program by annual graduates and is the fastest scaling. To date, Generation has nearly 40,000 graduates globally and in 2018, won the prestigious WISE Award for global education innovation. In 2020, Generation received the Roddenberry Prize for Humanity.

Generation has a global entity (GYE) and a network of country affiliates, most of which were founded by GYE.  The relationship between GYE and the country affiliates is governed by an affiliation agreement and operating principles. GYE provides the country affiliates with program content, tools, support services, partnerships, etc. to implement our seven-step methodology successfully, as well as providing back-office support (finance, human resources, contracts).  Each country affiliate has a local governing board and is responsible for local program delivery and administration.  Generation has 400+ staff across its global entity and country affiliates.

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief People Officer to lead, develop, and implement comprehensive and innovative human resource strategies and processes in Generation’s global entity (GYE). Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the senior leadership team, the Chief People Officer will lead and work with the People team to get to the next level in talent acquisition, organization culture and engagement (including diversity, equity and inclusion efforts), compensation and benefits, learning and development, performance management, leadership coaching, and compliance.

This newly created role will play an integral part in ensuring Generation continues to scale internationally and positively impact the lives of our beneficiaries across the globe.
