CFO

“Significant capital gain opportunity”

Midlands, £150K - £180K + Bonus + Equity

With a differentiated proposition, our client is a public sector outsourcing SME operating across a rapidly evolving and consolidating niche market that is robust, defensive and very much ‘open for business’. Founded in 2010, the business has crafted a reputation for innovation and high-quality service at sector beating rates of return amid a values-driven culture. Having secured private equity investment for the first time, they are now neatly positioned to achieve quantum growth and seek a strong CFO to help meet business objectives in readiness for exit in two/three years.

Having a clear strategy for both organic and acquisitive growth, the CFO will be an integral member of the senior management team and will relish the challenge of organic expansion, M&A activity and post-acquisition integration. From a candidate prospective we’re sector agnostic – although exposure to public sector procurement and contract delivery is clearly advantageous.

It is anticipated that the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • significant exposure to the world of private equity and possess the ability to provide insightful and meaningful data to such a demanding audience;
  • background in a multisite organisation;
  • exposure to negotiating local government contracts;
  • logical mindset with the skill to deliver information in a concise manner;
  • proven commercial prowess through the provision of information to aid decision making;
  • technically strong with a “no surprises” attitude to the finances of the business;
  • understanding of the importance of strong cashflow management;
  • effective management, development and leadership of the finance function;
  • strong emotional intelligence and a compelling communication style.

This is an exceptionally exciting role for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys wearing many hats at once and who relishes the opportunity to make a difference.
