My client, a well respected FMCG business in the North West of England, are seeking a contract Payroll Project Manager for an initial 6 months to lead on a new Payroll Solution.

We are looking for someone with a good detailed payroll background and knowledge, not a generic Project Manager, who will own the following:

  • Document the payroll team's processes
  • Design and deliver RFI on vendors
  • Document full requirements with associated feasibility to produce scope
  • Contract with vendor and legal team
  • Lead the payroll solution in terms of planning, change management, manage risks & Issues, KDD's and internal stakeholder management
  • Work with the payroll SME's to complete analysis and design of the TO-BE service
  • Planning and execution for data extraction and transformation into relevant load files
  • Define and deliver the test strategy in conjunction with delivery partner
  • Managing cutover activity to deployment inclusive of the hyper-care plan

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum 5 years managing UK payroll delivery
  • Deep understanding of payroll impacting processes (Joiner, mover, leaver, time, absence, benefits and compensation and Gross to Net etc)
  • Experienced with Tier 1 HCM technology
  • Advanced excel and data analysis skills
  • Experience working with external service providers
  • Excellent stakeholder management
