Sales Director / General Manager

Elevation Recruitment are looking for an experienced Sales & People leader with experience of sales into the food or packaging industry.

Head Office Yorkshire - You will be required to come to the office 1-2 days per week depending on diary requirements. Candidates will be requested to sign an NDA if CV is shortlisted.

This is an exciting opportunity to be the GM and Leader of Sales for the UK to maximise profitable sales across the UK and EMEA region.

You will lead a large sales division (both internal sales, account management and new business) ensuring the team perform and hit their annual sales growth target. You will also take man management responsibility for 2 other UK operational teams including a small warehouse team.

Reporting to the global team you will be responsible for strategic targets and service levels for UK & EMEA Sales and hold all budget responsibility, driving activity for the UK & EMEA region order intake.

What specific technical knowledge and competencies does the Job Holder require?

*Self-motivated individual who is able to demonstrate a proven successful career history in sales within either capital equipment / spare parts supply chain to the food/packaging industry.
*Excellent management and interpersonal skills; able to communicate professionally and motivate team who maybe working remotely.
*Be able to work under pressure to deadlines.
*To be able to communicate at all levels effectively and efficiently.
*Be commercially minded, able to weigh up multiple factors such as price, volume, cost, payment terms, other opportunities etc. in order to weigh up the value of a prospective partner.
*Able to travel extensively globally including nights away from home.
*Possess a full UK driving licence.
