Our logistics client require an Interim Finance Director to join them for a period of 3 months initially. In this pivotal role you would report into the CEO and play a key part in driving the business forwards with their transformation to ensure greater commercial and strategic output. The interim role will be delivered remotely, with the view of longer term potential to stay within the company if you are based within the SW Region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Asses the key cost drivers within the business by developing and delivering a zero-based budgeting process
  • Provide financial efficiency, visibility and integrity; bring clarity to the data and ensure financial numbers are understood in a coherent way to support longer term business planning
  • Support the CEO with their change agenda; you will be supporting in a transformation capacity to help develop a long-term 5-10 year strategy; this will involve assessing cost drivers, operational aspects and recognising what ‘good looks like’
  • There is the potential to stay within this role in a permanent capacity supporting the ongoing change agenda, with the initial short term remit being the ZBB and cost-efficiency transformation

Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrable experience of a detailed & ‘hands-on’ with a change/transformation approach
  • Proven experience developing zero-based budgeting models, and running the process
  • Experience within a logistics/supply chain/network organisation would be beneficial
  • A collaborative and patient nature; there are legacy members within the organisation who may be resistant to change initially
