Our client is a well regarded industrial services group that operates through a number of well known brands underpinned by a sophisticated e-commerce platform that enables it to provide the highest levels of service to their customers and optimise its operational efficiency. It seeks to strengthen its executive team through the appointment of a seasoned and well rounded Chief Operating Officer with the potential to provide succession to the Chief Executive.

The individual appointed will underpin the Chief Executive and provide leadership and direction across all aspects of the business and in particular logistics, operations, technical design, installation and maintenance, and customer services. The Chief Operating Officer will collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organisational vision and operational strategy. He/she will translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth, helping to implement organisation wide goal setting and performance management and will oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture.

Working closely with the Chief Executive, the Chief Operating Officer will develop actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short term and long term objectives, together with directly overseeing HR and sales management, to ensure the group has appropriate resources to achieve its objectives.

The successful candidate will have a strong academic background, quite possibly with further post university academic qualifications and a demonstrable record of operational leadership in a fast moving customer facing environment in which the customer interaction is second to none. He/she will be driven by an unyielding passion for the highest levels of customer service, will have a solid grasp of data analysis, an ability to diagnose problems quickly and have the foresight to anticipate potential issues. The Chief Operating Officer will monitor performance with tracking and establish corrective measures as needed, with a drive to constantly enhance and develop performance metrics. This is an outstanding opportunity for a well rounded operations professional to play a key role in an ambitious executive and take advantage of the opportunity to progress in the future.
