Our client, a large Financial Services firm, is looking to appoint a Head of Climate Risk Analytics with responsibility for the development, leadership and management of the climate risk analytics function in line with the Banks climate objectives. This is a unique and exciting role leading the build and delivery of central 2nd LoD Climate Risk Analytics activities within the Bank.

As Head of Climate Risk Analytics you will be responsible for leading the development of the Climate Risk Analytics function. This will include developing the strategy, frameworks and analytics capability internally to meet the tight regulatory deadlines at the end of 2021. The role will have responsibility for designing and developing an effective risk measurement approach for climate risk, incorporating stress testing and scenario analysis. The role will also be responsible for coordinating this activity across the firm, ensuring analysis is coordinated across all divisions and assessment is undertaken for all relevant portfolio's. This role will have significant impact across the firm, and as a result you will work closely with colleagues across the entire business, developing relationships with all key senior stakeholders in the first, second and third line.

To be appointed as Head of Climate Risk Analytics, the candidate must have a strong background in Risk Measurement and Analytics. You should bring deep knowledge of data and analytics, along with experience of stress testing and scenario analysis. You should also bring an understanding of climate risk, combined with experience leading a firms analytics response to a similar regulatory challenge. You should also have experience of building and leading analytics teams whilst working across functions to solve complex problems. Confident in influencing, negotiation and communication and with proven organisational ability, the successful candidate will possess sound judgement and be solution oriented, whilst possessing the gravitas and capability to present at the most senior level.
