Framlingham College is a vibrant boarding and day school for boys and girls aged 3-18, located on two sites in the tranquil beauty of rural Suffolk.  Framlingham College is a forward-thinking school where education is evolving to meet the needs of the future.  Its purpose and philosophy is to equip young people with the knowledge and skills that they will need to thrive as global citizens in their adult world. The College has embarked on a very exciting educational journey with a new strategic plan, Vision 2025, in place for the next five years.

Reporting to the Principal, the Bursar will ensure the College’s overall financial health and sustainability. The Bursar will also lead and manage a diverse support staff serving all support functions of the College. The Bursar will provide strategic and commercial input into key areas of the College, including the expansion of its education provision and other development opportunities. The Bursar will be a critical member of the College’s Senior Leadership Team, and also act as Clerk to the Board of Governors.

The successful candidate will have excellent financial qualifications and will have led and managed substantial teams; will be commercially and financially astute and will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  Applications are encouraged from candidates with educational, business or public sector backgrounds who have strong commercial acumen and a genuine passion for education.
