Head of Engineering/VP Engineering

This role requires previous experience working in a Product focused environment, as well as hand on engineering Python and/or Golang skills.

The role will focus around implementing much needed structure and processes within the company, whilst leading a small Software Engineering team as well as hands-on development.

• Setting a vision for technology and how it will be used in the company
• Contribute to the wider business strategy and be an example of the company culture
• Responsible for architecting, maintaining, and evolving our current technology
• Eliciting feedback from stakeholders and using it to make improvements to our technology
• To focus on ensuring there is an exceptional and responsive service to the internal stakeholders
• Gain a deep understanding of our current systems, its relationships with third-party systems, and the overall domain
• Be able to specify and develop concepts and give direction to your team
• An excellent communicator and collaborator, both internally to your team and across the wider business
• Responsible for development and deployment methodologies, coding standards and testing

Profile

Head of Engineering/VP Engineering

• Excellent architectural and programming skills, including Python and/or Go
• Experience working within a Product Centric environment
• Ability to communicate concisely and calmly in a high-pressure environment
• Have an understanding or willing to learn the markets we trade
