Simpson Booth is supporting a major IT business consultancy with the recruitment of one Business Analyst for a contract at their end customer's office, based in the beautiful sunny coast of Alicante, Spain.

Our Client's end customer is a major, highly established European institution, and you will be working from their new corporate office on the sunny beach front, playing a crucial role in the Analysis team to manage change and plan for the future in incorporating IT to support the organisation's needs.

The role is initially remote but long term will be expected to be in the office, Alicante.

You will be earning a gross day rate in accordance to the cost of living in Spain of ???240 EUR per day.

General responsibilities and resultswill be:

  • Analysing the processes used in the European Observatory for Intellectual Property Rights Infringements applications.
  • Consultancy for feasibility studies required for Vision documents.
  • Updating the obsolete documentation for existing applications and creating the appropriate documentation for new projects or applications.
  • Organizing and Leading workshops to gather requirements from the business unit for strategic projects.
  • Transforming the Business Needs into Project Documentation for the Development team.
  • Establishing a communication methodology between the various units involved in a project (Business, Project Management, Development, DevOps, Business Analysis).
  • Organizing and Leading the testing phases of development deliveries and management of the bug fixing.
  • Costs-benefits analysis.
  • Development and enhancement of business architecture.
  • Assistance in implementing the architecture.
  • Provide expertise on integration into business environment.
  • Overall improvement of the bug reporting processes and enhancing the test plan

For this position you will need:

  • University Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
  • At least 5 years experience as Business Analyst
  • Ability to propose solutions aligned with the Client's strategies.
  • Fast learner, able to take up analysis tasks quickly in a new domain.
  • Responsible, self-organised, able to work to tight deadlines proactively, in a team. Time-management capacity and ability to prioritise and report.
  • Able to moderate discussions and negotiate effectively to resolve differences.
  • Excellent command of MS Office tools (ie Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
