Client Details

My client is a market leading, global Automotive manufacturer based in Staffordshire. After a stable 2020 & a number of exciting projects due to launch in 2021, they are looking to recruit a Quality Manager. Managing a team of 5, the successful candidate will be degree qualified, have an extensive Quality toolkit & be a proven coach & mentor. Furthermore you will be results orientated and have successfully partnered with Production/Operations on cost saving initiatives & CI projects. In return, you will be working for a market leader who has a track record of developing and progressing from within.

Description

· Review existing management systems and ensure they meet the requirements of the business whilst ensuring quality is always at the forefront of the business

· Lead team members in pursuing continuous improvement in Systems, Processes and Customer Satisfaction by driving processes such as Kaizen and value stream mapping

· Develop robust Quality investigations, establishing containment where necessary and resolving Customer and Supplier related defects.

· Lead problem solving activities such as 8D, utilising cross functional team approach across departments.

· Ensure accurate supplier reject records and drive supplier improvements and escalations.

· Support and ensure adherence to New Product Introduction programmes, directly supporting Engineering.

Profile

  • Degree educated
  • Automotive experience is essential
  • Strong Quality toolkit: 8D, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans etc
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
  • Proven track record of coaching & mentoring teams

Job Offer

Circa £55k + car, bonus, pension
