Senior Project Manager - Automated Warehousing

RPS are currently engaged with a large logistics organisation which operates in 44 countries around the world and is currently the 5th largest employer in the UK. We are seeking a Project Manager to have end to end accountability for project delivery and the delivery of change across a number of business areas.

Our project delivery services are custom tailored to meet individual needs, whilst drawing on broad market experience and proven methodology from a variety of sectors including Logistics, Media, Banking and Central Government. We keep the end goal firmly in mind and can scale as in line with customer needs.

What will you be doing?

RPS is looking for a Senior Project Manager to work a large, national scale business transformation programme implementing automated sortation/warehousing solutions to one of the UK's largest logistics networks. This is an extremely high profile are of the business and has significant funding to advance business critical technology to drive efficacy group wide.

Experience: This role will require a Senior Leader who has experience of working within large scale logistics and warehousing programmes for complex organisations as well as managing multiple projects simultaneously. You will need to be a strong people and supplier manager, who is used to working in high pressure, time restrictive environments.

Skills: We are looking for someone with extensive experience in warehouse management systems (WMS), implementation of automated warehousing technology at scale, senior stakeholder and supplier management, business case management and the ability to get up to speed at pace.

Candidates who have worked for large scale logistics, delivery, or retail companies in the distribution space, would be of particular interest.

The role will be initially home based, in line with current government guidelines. Once these are eased, the role will revert to a City of London base.
