Salary: £ competitive plus benefits

Freemans Grattan Holdings (FGH) is based in West Yorkshire and is part of the OTTO group – one of the world’s largest mail order organisations. With a history stretching back over 100 years, FGH is now a technologically advanced online retail business comprised of familiar brands such as Freemans, Grattan, Kaleidoscope, Swimwear 365, Look Again, bonprix, Curvissa and WITT.

With an ambitious Executive team and significant plans for growth, The Head of Risk and Compliance is a key appointment and will ensure that their team provides a collaborative, challenging and strategically relevant, Second Line of Defence.

The Head of Risk and Compliance will take full responsibility for leading and managing a high performing Compliance Function that ensures the business complies with all relevant FCA and other regulatory requirements.

Beyond developing, managing, reviewing and evolving the processes needed for a compliant framework, you will work tirelessly with internal stakeholders to promote and improve compliance across the business. Naturally, this will also involve a clinical awareness of emerging risks and you will always be fully engaged with providing MI and guidance to the Executive to ensure that mitigating actions ensure net risk stays within appetite.

The successful candidate will have Second Line of Defence experience within an FCA regulated organisation. This role will require FCA SMF16 authorisation.

You must have proven experience of delivering a proactive Compliance Framework in a growing business but although your technical expertise is vitally important, the business demands candidates who can operate without personal agenda and have a strong service delivery focus underpinned by a proactive personality. Candidates must be able to engage with the business to bring about collaborative change. Your ability to do this will be explored at interview.

FGH has significant plans for growth and this role represents an important step forward in ensuring those plans are achieved. They firmly believe in rewarding brilliant people and they live by their Values (more details online).

If this role is of interest, please send a copy of your most recent CV along with details of your current salary and benefits package to our consultant Don Aitkenat Axon Moore, Leeds. Alternatively, find him on LinkedIn and give him a call.

Axon Moore are retained to deliver this assignment for FGH. Any CVs sent directly to FGH (or via a 3rd party) are not guaranteed inclusion in the process.
