Head of Technology

Head of Technology is required for a market leading software as a service platform that helps business automate their inventory management systems. This is an established start-up that is going through second round of funding to take them to the next level. You will be joining a company of about 80 people with 4 offices world wide with a remote first culture.

About the Job

As Head of Technology you will be the driving force of the engineering team. You will be a vocal figure in leading technical discussions, leading in specification and implementations that are both practical and innovative.

This role will be hands-of however you will be in regular coordination with product and design teams to help set out the technical strategy of the business. You will also work with partners and 3rd parties to form excellent relationships to ensure smooth integrations and future innovations.

The business has a flat management structure and in other companies this position would be called a CTO with similar responsibilities. You will be reporting in to the CEO and working with the Head of engineering to drive the growth of the business.

About You

Ideally, you'll have experience managing several teams and retain a great understanding in agile delivery. Experience within a customer-focused dev culture would be advantageous. Being ambitious in your thinking, you should have a passion for what you do and always look to improve others around you.

The Checklist

•Experience as a CTO or Head of Technology.
•Strong agile delivery experience (SCRUM, Kanban, XP)

•Experience managing cross-functional teams

•Engineering background in Ruby or other JVM based languages.
