An Operations Director position is available at an established, North-West based children's care provider as a result of recent growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will have overall management responsibility for the residential services provided by the business as well as acting as Responsible Individual for a small number of the provisions. You will also have oversight of the education services and provide leadership to the education team.

The Candidate
As an Operations Director your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the CEO and senior management team to improve quality across all residential and education services
Preparing annual budgets for operations/education, ensuring budgets are adhered to and managed effectively
Providing regular performance reports to both the Board and CEO
Engaging with the Board on all relevant issues, especially those relating to childcare, and providing appropriate information to aid with the Board's decision-making
Providing information to the Board on opportunities for business growth and development across the business
Establishing and maintaining best-practice systems, risk appraisal, and quality assurance procedures to ensure the best quality of care and outcomes for the children and young people are achieved
Developing and sustaining effective and productive relationships with all external agencies, professional bodies. and stakeholders
Ensuring that each provision is maintained to a high standard in line with all relevant legislation

As an Operations Director you will have/be:
Extensive experience working in the children's residential sector at a senior management level with strategic development responsibilities
Excellent legislative knowledge (including but not limited to: Ofsted, Children Act 2004, Children's Home Regulations 2015)
Experience of working to high quality standards on tight timescales
Previous responsibility for business growth and development
Ability to integrate as an experience Board member
Excellent track record within management of staff - able to lead, engage, inspire and motivate staff at all levels
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Management Diploma or equivalent
Enhanced DBS check
Clean, current driving licence

Up to £85k base DOE
10% annual performance-related bonus
Share options (with projected value of £250k)

Interview Process
The interview process will take place in a two-stage format:

Stage one: telephone call (informal conversation) with the CEO - if successful there will be a psychometric test
Stage two: face-to-face or Teams call depending on feasibility (formal interview, including competency based questioning and a short presentation) with the CEO and Chairman
