This is a superb career opportunity for a professionally trained Health and Safety Manager to work within this well-established manufacturer and service repair specialist of Industrial doors.  The company designs, manufactures and installs a range of quality industrial doors throughout the UK. Incorporating a nationwide network of regional business centres the company delivers a premium, repair and maintenance support service to an enviable database of market leading companies.  This key role reports to the H&S Director and its focus is to lead and develop the health and safety culture within the company, whilst remaining very aware of all commercial aspects.  You will develop and implement the Company’s health and safety strategy and policies at its Head Office site and throughout its regional business centres and also ensure that this is carried through to its multiple site installations and in doing this you will ensure that robust health and safety systems are embedded throughout the whole of the company.  The position calls for a well proven and fully qualified Health & Safety professional who has broad experience from within the engineering, manufacturing or  construction sectors, previous experience within the Industrial door industry would be extremely beneficial in embracing this role.  You will be educated to degree or equivalent standard and have full NEBOSH certification together with awareness and working knowledge of environmental legislation and compliance including ISO 18001.  You will have excellent communication skills and deep experience in delivering modern health and safety practices across a multi-site structure and as the Board is committed to the principals of best practice you will be given full scope the ensure success.  You will be expected to generate a continuous improvement culture towards Health & Safety and ensure that this is seen as a significant contributor to the future success of the business.   You will also be responsible for carrying out risk assessments, minimizing risk, interfacing with HSE insurance companies and ensuring compliance with all legislation requirements.  This is a very real career opportunity for a health and safety specialist to deliver change throughout a nationally recognised business and it carries a benefits package which is competitive within the marketplace.  Ideal location will be along the East M62 corridor and you will need to be comfortable with the UK wide travel commitments in the role.
