My client - a leading international Financial Services business is looking to hire a Head of Sustainable Investment to join their team in Sydney / Australia. This is a permanent role offering AUD200,000 - AUD250,000 + bonus and benefits.

The Head of Sustainable Investment (Australian & New Zealand Market) you will report to the Head of Sustainable Investment, APAC.
Key responsibilities:
- Represent the business in its client and market engagement activities and through industry platforms; Act as a key regional spokesman on Sustainable Investment products
- Define and execute the sustainable investment product strategy and roadmap for the Australian and New Zealand markets; work with external and internal stakeholders to understand market needs and continue to drive innovation.
- Lead on key client engagements and work in partnership with Asset Owners, Pension Funds and other investor segments in Australia to develop a product range which meets the needs of investors in Australia.
- Design and deliver high quality presentations at key conferences and events in the region
- Collaborate across the group with colleagues in Research, Data Management, Development and Governance to define product requirements and deliver new products and/or enhancements, ensuring the relevance and fit for the specifics of Australian asset owners and investors
- Manage the product lifecycle, including the execution of go-to-market plans
- Lead cross-functional projects to improve product offering
- Participating in client consultations to understand client needs and/or product opportunities
Key requirements:
- Deep understanding of the use of ESG data in investments; Sustainable Investing/ESG market and how Sustainable Investing/ESG preferences impact the investment process
- Demonstrable experience in financial services and complex data systems
- Business development and client servicing experience
- Project management experience, organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of product management processes and demonstrated ownership of a product through the development lifecycle
- MBA, MSc or CFA, and a top grade degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g. Science, Maths or Business) from a leading university
- Experience in working with senior executives and non-executives i.e. CEOs, CIOs, Board members and Trustees
- Excellent verbal and written ability in English
- Self-motivated and maturity: takes initiative and demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm and a success mind-set.
- Demonstrable years of relevant industry experience in financial services
- Collaboration: Ability to influence and work through others to get things done in a matrixed, multi-site organization; willingness to help colleagues; openness to take on new responsibilities
- Quantitative fluency: High level of skill and comfort with numbers.
- Execution: Very good organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize effectively, handle multiple projects under tight deadlines, identify/ flag/resolve potential issues early on
