Job Details
This role is responsible for supporting the oversight of the risk profile of Technology across the Group. The key focus of the role is to oversee and challenge: the management of risk, ensuring core IT controls are properly designed and operate effectively;key business initiatives; changes to systems; that new products are fully risk assessed with appropriate risk mitigation in place.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide guidance, oversight and challenge to IT policies and procedures ensuring best practices are delivered and adhere to the Group Risk Framework. Adopt a business partnering approach to engagement with key IT and business stakeholders
- Ensure Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) are in place to monitor all key risks against risk appetite and use to monitor and challenge risk profiles
- Enhance and embed risk culture in the Group Technology Service organisation through the risk champions community
- Challenge the assessment of risks associated with new products, business initiatives and material project change and ensure adequate 1st line deployment of appropriate controls to mitigate risks
Candidate Profile:
- The ideal candidate will have: Appropriate experience and qualifications related to IT governance and risk management e.g., COBIT, ITIL, ISO31000, COSO
- A background in the financial services sector and have experience of managing IT risks
- Good understanding of the core controls and metrics used to manage IT risks
