Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity. We campaign for change, fund research to find a cure and support people living with dementia today.

Our mission is no small feat: to transform the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will strive to create a society where people affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

At this time we are seeking three new Trustees to join our dynamic board and help us to deliver on our ambitious plans. We know that we need to make sure that we are reflective of, and understand, the needs of the diverse group of people affected by dementia. Worldwide, women with dementia outnumber men two to one and we know that different groups within the dementia community have specific issues to overcome.

For our new Trustees we are keen to find individuals who bring knowledge and experience in the health and social care field and / or with an understanding of the dementia landscape in Wales. Experience of fundraising or IT would also be of interest in this round of recruitment.

To ensure we continue to create a diverse, committed and experience board, in this recruitment we are particularly welcoming applications from women, and also the diverse range of communities we are here to help, including but not limited to those from Black Asian and Other Minority Ethnic communities, rural communities and the LBGTQ+ community.
