About Our Client

The Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) is the professional body for biomedical scientists in the United Kingdom. Its aim is to promote and develop the role of biomedical science within healthcare to deliver the best possible service for patient care and safety.
The IBMS has been established for more than 100 years and now represents over 19,000 members employed mainly in the National Health Service and private pathology laboratories, universities, the diagnostics industry and research. Other members work in related biomedical science fields and most live and work in the United Kingdom and Ireland although there are more than 1,000 overseas members.

Their recent strategy has been to provide a comprehensive suite of examinations and training portfolios to support the education and development of its members. The success of this strategy has been to establish the IBMS reputation as a professional standard setting body that works with the health departments of the four UK countries and with the Royal College of Pathologists. Journalists and politicians recognise the IBMS as an organisation with the ability to inform, educate and provide insight in to some of the most challenging issues within pathology and healthcare.
