My client is an established and award-winning technology business revolutionary in the design and manufacturing of water management products. They pride themselves on their patented-centric model and are supported by state-of-the-art technology and highly respected customers.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join one of the fastest growing, medium-sized, business in the UK. A truly exciting opportunity to take the helm as Chief Executive Officer of one of the industries most respected organisations. Following recent restructure and a fresh injection of growth capital, the CEO will be tasked with bringing fresh energy, sophistication and pace as the group embarks on a very exciting phased of further growth, that will include its further activities outside of the UK.

The new Chief Executive will be accountable to the Chair and Board, to provide vision and leadership for the business and will provide inspirational vision and values-driven leadership as my client enters its next phase of growth and development. Working closely with the board, you will be responsible for the effective performance of my client, delivering sustainable strategic and operational plans, identifying new opportunities and developing strategy to maximise their product performance and additional support services. Driving an ambitious strategy to grow and diversify my client's portfolio, targeting sectors with the greatest scope for impact and commercial return. Cementing my client's position within the water industry and with other important industries, investment and research partners across the UK and globally.

We are looking for an individual with preferably a detailed understanding of the water industry. With an empowering leadership style, you will balance the strategic and operational demands of the position, whilst building and developing a high performing team.

Demonstrating high levels of personal credibility, you will act as ambassador for the organisation, cultivate positive relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders. With a highly motivated and skilled team in place and a dedicated and supportive Management Committee, my client believes this is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious and driven individual to create positive outcomes within a unique organisation

As a convincing candidate you will demonstrate a strong track record of leadership in a relevant organisation, ideally but not exclusively with a focus on the water or utility and/or Technology sectors.

As CEO, you will be responsible for the performance of all activity across Sales, Marketing, Product and Customer Experience. Driving improved cross-functional working practices, sharpening commercial behaviours, improving sales performance, opening new markets (both in the UK and overseas) and bringing fresh energy, passion and drive to the organisation, you will have full P&L accountability for the commercial success of the business.

This organisation has a strong market share with huge potential for further market penetration. Furthermore, there are new market opportunities as well as product extension and cross-sell opportunities that are ready to be leveraged. The potential is significant.

Applications are invited from Chief Commercial Officers, Commercial Director or Managing Directors, with a proven track record in delivering growth and creating value within a SME business.

From a sales background, you will have a bias towards B2B or B2B2C, and will have a proven track record of galvanising organisations and delivering high levels of profitable growth. Likely to be from a technology or broader business services background, you will possess a high level of emotional intelligence, alongside a strong academic pedigree.

With a passion for working hard and with a clear drive to create value for the owner, as well as yourself and the rest of the Board, you will be ambitious, commercial and successful.
Specific capabilities required are outlined below:

Successful track record of leading a medium or large business through a period of dramatic, profitable and sustainable growth ideally in a high volume, low value environment
Strong strategic mindset, with a clear understanding of how to take advantage of all appropriate sales and marketing channels - traditional and digital
An experienced and credible leader, passionate about growth, colleagues, customers and wealth creation
Meticulous attention to detail, a love of data,
Low-ego, collegiate approach with a mentality that takes pleasure from influencing others and enjoying seeing them be successful as a result of your guidance, support, coaching and leadership.
Track record of commercial contract negotiation and value creation
Establishing and delivering on short-, medium- and long-term objectives of shareholders in line with 5-year strategy.
Full ownership of building and growing the existing UK business, including revenue and profit targets and assessing commercial opportunities.
Proactively improving the technological and digital capabilities within the organisation, to drive efficiencies and performance.
Leadership and management of existing team, including recruitment, training & development and staff welfare.
