The Logistics area is vital to the success and as such any candidate will have detailed knowledge of warehousing, transport and supply chain management marketplace and will be able to demonstrate a track record of delivering commercial solutions to senior stakeholders. Implementation of a 3PL programme from tender to implementation across a European function is a key.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Senior Commercial management of warehousing, transport and supply chain management across the group.
  • Lead large scale 3rd party logistics outsourcing programmes/projects and manage resource in the team to develop RFPs, contract and execute commercial deals.
  • An expert understanding of 3rd party transport contract terms and how to negotiate the best contracts within the logistics industry.
  • Build meaningful and close relationships and advise business leaders on commercial strategy and contractual solutions, including SLA's and contractual remedies..
  • Drive commercial change within the business to deliver value and ensuring there is always a balance between cost and service.
  • Identification of continuous improvement opportunities and driving the operational teams to improve and change.
  • Developing highly value add sourcing and commercial solutions to the organisation.
    Development of cross logistics procurement strategy within the logistics procurement team.
  • Champions, supports and delivers Procurement strategy across organisation.


Your skills and experience will include:
  • Delivery of complex commercial negotiations
  • Has led large scale third party logistics outsourcing programmes (upwards of £300m) involving multiple 3PLs and a large stakeholder map.
  • Detailed Procurement experience gathered in warehousing, transport and supply chain management.
  • Specific expertise/experience in building relationships and driving value from warehousing, transport and supply chain management.
  • Expert category knowledge across international logistics with a particular focus on CPG or FMCG.
  • Strong people engagement and influencing skills at all levels in an organisation - a candidate must be able to influence from 'shop floor' to board level.
  • Proven record across complex large-scale negotiations covering commercial, service levels, gainshares, fuel mechanics which take into account specific market dynamics of 3rd party logistics providers.
  • Strong communication, influencing and networking skills across senior business leaders.
  • Expertise in commercial models and legal contracts including SLA's/remedies across the logistics category.
